PVL Gold Series ISO Gold 5lb — The Bulk Size of PVL's Premium Isolate
Same award-winning isolate formula, in the size that makes sense once you know you like it. 27g of protein per serve from whey isolate and hydrolysate, 6g of naturally occurring BCAAs, and a billion CFU of DE111 probiotic per scoop — in a 5lb tub across six flavours. In stock at EatMe Supplements.
Why Buy the 5lb?
Protein is the one supplement almost nobody stops taking, which makes it the one where buying small repeatedly costs you the most. At a serve a day the 5lb runs a good deal longer than a standard tub and the cost per serve drops accordingly. The trade-off is committing to a flavour before you've lived with it for a month — so if this is your first ISO Gold, the smaller tub is the sensible way in. If it isn't, there's no reason to keep paying the small-size premium.
The Formula
- 27g protein per serve — whey isolate and hydrolysate only, with no concentrate used to pad the protein count.
- 6g naturally occurring BCAAs — present in the whey itself rather than added separately.
- 1 billion CFU DE111 probiotic per scoop — a shelf-stable strain that survives storage, included to support digestive comfort.
- Whey isolate and hydrolysate technology — isolate for purity, hydrolysate for faster amino delivery.
- No amino spiking, no hidden or inferior proteins — a specific commitment worth noting, given how common cheap nitrogen padding is in this category.
- Zero fillers, formulated without banned substances — suitable for tested sport.
What "No Amino Spiking" Means
Protein content on a label is usually calculated from nitrogen content, and free-form amino acids like glycine and taurine contain nitrogen too. Add enough of them cheaply and the label reads 27g of protein when the actual whey content is meaningfully lower. It's legal, it's widespread, and it's invisible unless the brand explicitly rules it out. PVL does, which is the more meaningful claim on this label than most of the marketing around it.
Directions
Mix 1 scoop with 200–300ml of cold water or milk. Use post-workout, between meals, or any time you need to add protein to the day. Store the tub sealed and somewhere dry — with a bag this size, clumping from humidity is the main thing that'll spoil it.
Flavours
Vanilla Milkshake, Triple Chocolate, Ice Cream Cookies, Strawberry Milkshake, Banana Cream and Iced Mocha Cappuccino.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will a 5lb tub last?
At one serve a day, a few months. At two, roughly half that. Work it out against your own protein target rather than the tub size — a second daily serve halves the value proposition of buying big.
Will it go off before I finish it?
Check the best-before on the tub, but sealed and stored dry, a protein powder comfortably outlasts the time it takes most people to work through 5lb. Moisture is the real enemy, not time — keep the scoop dry and the lid closed.
Is the formula the same as the smaller tub?
Yes. Same protein sources, same per-serve profile, same probiotic. The only difference is the quantity and the cost per serve.
Which flavour should I pick if I'm buying this much?
Something you'd drink every day for months. The novelty flavours are great for a small tub and wear thin at this volume — Vanilla Milkshake and Triple Chocolate are the ones people come back to, and they mix into oats, smoothies and baking without fighting the other ingredients.
