PVL EAA Complete+ Recovery — All Nine Essential Aminos Plus Electrolytes

EAA Complete+ provides the full spectrum of nine essential amino acids — the ones your body can't manufacture and has to get from what you eat or drink — with electrolytes added for hydration support and a low calorie count that keeps it usable in a deficit. 369g in three flavours, in stock at EatMe Supplements.

EAAs vs BCAAs — the Distinction That Matters

BCAAs are three amino acids: leucine, isoleucine and valine. EAAs are all nine, including those three. Leucine is what signals muscle protein synthesis to start, which is why BCAA products became popular — but signalling the process and having the raw material to complete it are different things. If the other six essential aminos aren't available, you've flipped the switch on a production line with no stock. That's the argument for a complete EAA formula over a BCAA-only one, and it's a sound one.

What It Supports

  • Muscle protein synthesis — the complete amino profile needed to actually build tissue, not just trigger the signal.
  • Recovery and repair — the practical reason most people take aminos around training.
  • Preserving muscle in a deficit — this is where EAAs earn their place most clearly. Dieting raises the risk of losing lean tissue alongside fat, and keeping aminos available helps offset it.
  • Hydration — added electrolytes, which makes it a genuinely useful intra-workout drink rather than something you take and then still need water for.
  • Low calorie — it fits into a cut without meaningful cost to your daily budget.

When to Use It

Intra-workout is the most common slot — sipping it through a session keeps aminos and fluid coming in together. It also works well as an all-day drink: a scoop in a large bottle gives you something flavoured to get through, which for a lot of people is the difference between hitting their water target and not.

One honest caveat. If you already eat plenty of protein spread across the day, an EAA product adds less than the marketing suggests — you're topping up something that isn't short. Where it genuinely earns its place is fasted training, long gaps between meals, a hard calorie deficit, or simply as a hydration drink you'll actually finish.

Directions

Mix 1 scoop with 500–750ml of cold water. Drink before, during or after training, or sip through the day. The larger water volume is deliberate — it keeps the flavour light enough to drink steadily rather than in one go.

Flavours

Tropical Punch, Icy Blue Storm and Orange Krush'd.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need EAAs if I already use protein powder?

Whey already contains all nine essential aminos, so from a pure nutrition standpoint, often not. EAAs are faster-absorbing and lighter on the stomach, which is what makes them preferable during training or in a fasted state — a protein shake mid-session is unpleasant in a way an amino drink isn't.

Can I take it fasted?

Yes — this is one of the better use cases. Free-form aminos reach the bloodstream quickly without the digestive load of whole protein, which suits early morning training before food.

Is it suitable during a cut?

Yes, and it's arguably the strongest case for the product. Low calorie, supports muscle retention while dieting, and doubles as a flavoured drink when food is restricted.

How does it compare to a BCAA product?

A complete EAA formula is the more useful product for muscle protein synthesis, because it supplies all nine essential aminos rather than three. A BCAA product is usually cheaper per serve. If you're choosing one, EAAs are the better buy.
