Mutant Whey Protein 5lb — Concentrate, Isolate and Hydrolysate Blend

Mutant Whey is a three-source whey blend — concentrate, isolate and hydrolysate together — built as an everyday protein rather than a premium isolate at a premium price. Complete amino acid profile, mixes properly with water or milk, and priced to be the tub you actually keep buying. 5lb in four flavours, in stock at EatMe Supplements.

Why Three Whey Sources?

Each form of whey is processed differently and behaves differently once you drink it. Hydrolysate is partially broken down before it reaches you, so it absorbs fastest. Isolate is filtered to a higher protein percentage with less fat and lactose. Concentrate is the least processed, retains more of the naturally occurring milk fractions, and costs the least. Blending all three gives you a staggered amino release and a better texture than isolate alone, at a price a pure isolate can't match. It's a value decision as much as a formulation one, and an honest one.

What You're Getting

  • Three whey sources — concentrate, isolate and hydrolysate, covering fast and sustained amino delivery.
  • Complete amino acid profile — all nine essential aminos, naturally rich in BCAAs and EAAs from the whey itself.
  • Fast-digesting — suits the post-training slot, though total daily protein matters far more than timing.
  • Mixes easily — water or milk, shaker or spoon. A protein you have to blend is a protein you stop using.
  • Everyday value — 5lb of a blended whey is a considerably lower cost per gram of protein than an equivalent isolate.

Where a Blend Sits Against a Pure Isolate

An isolate is filtered further, so it's higher in protein by weight and lower in fat and lactose — genuinely worth paying for if you're cutting hard and every macro counts, or if lactose gives you trouble. For everyone else, a blend delivers the same amino acids for less money, with a fuller texture most people prefer. Unless you have a specific reason to buy an isolate, a blend is the better default.

Directions

Mix 1 scoop with 200–300ml of cold water or milk. Use post-workout, between meals, or any time you need to top up daily protein. Two serves a day is common if you're training seriously and struggling to hit your target from food alone.

Flavours

Triple Chocolate, Vanilla Ice Cream, Cookies and Cream, and Strawberry Cream.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much protein do I need each day?

Around 1.6–2.2g per kilogram of bodyweight is the commonly cited range for people training with resistance. Hitting that total consistently is what drives results — the timing questions people worry about are a rounding error by comparison.

Is it worth paying more for a pure isolate?

Only for a specific reason: a hard cut where the fat and carb grams matter, or lactose sensitivity. Otherwise you're paying a premium for filtration you don't need.

Can I use it if I'm lactose intolerant?

A blend contains concentrate, which retains more lactose than an isolate does. If dairy is a problem for you, an isolate or a dairy-free protein is the better choice.

Water or milk?

Water keeps calories down and gives a thinner shake. Milk adds roughly 100–150 calories along with extra protein and a much better texture. Which suits you depends entirely on whether you're gaining or losing.

Can I bake with it?

Yes, and a blend handles baking better than an isolate because the extra fat keeps things moist. Reduce the flour rather than simply adding protein on top.
