Details

You might have seen people at the gym using lifting straps especially while performing heavy compound exercises that require strong grip strength. Typical exercises that may require straps for optimum lifts can range from dead-lifts, lat machine pull-downs, dumbbell squats and lunges, and bent-over rows etc. These handy items provide additional support to your heavy lifts by wrapping around your wrist and wrapping around the barbell, dumbbell or machine.

Straps typically come in two types, the figure 8 (also known as the double loop); and the single loop style suitable for beginners and smaller lifts. Eat Me figure 8 lifting straps are an essential training aid when working your back muscles or engaging in any pulling exercise like deadlifts, lat pull downs and bent over rows.

Constructed from tough cotton with comfortable foam padding precisely where it's needed. You can expect an increase in strength gains and more reps as your power is no longer limited to your grip strength and your feeble little fingers. Instead you'll lift more weight and make sure you really hit the muscles you're training instead of giving up when you grip gives out.

Why use lifting straps?

1. Straps help you maximize the weight you can lift on particular body parts. More weight means more muscle! Not using straps means sacrificing muscle growth in other areas just to grow your forearms.

2. It’s better to use straps for back muscle work and perform supplementary forearm, targeted wrist and grip strength exercises.

3. They are great for using on heavy lifts, especially when performing a one rep max or anytime your grip gives out before your back, shoulders, arms and etc do.

4. Probably not a real necessity when first starting at the gym, but these are definitely a good idea later down the track because your body parts will tend to out perform your grip strength.

Straps are the gift that says 'You're OK' in a manly way. And ensures he doesn't borrow your own straps and make them sweaty and smelly.

There are many sneaky ways to increase your progress at the gym and these eat me supplements lifting straps top the list. For back training, these figure 8 straps increase your weights without breaking the bank. My goal as a coach is to make sure all my athletes perform to their very best.
